Hello literacy colleagues and welcome to my new website.
How many times have you heard someone in education talk about what "research says" in regards to sound literacy practices? Well, I have heard it a lot, but when pressed, many people cannot provide the actual research they refer to.
I started this website in an attempt to gather and curate literacy research and resources that support instructional practices so that educators could locate the research and resources they need.
The website is a work in progress. Right now it focuses on reading instruction at the elementary level, but I hope to add writing in the future. While their are a wide range of topics, it is not an exhaustive list and I hope to add more topics as it evolves. If you have a topic, piece or research or a resource you think is worth sharing, please leave a comment.
In my curation I tried to find a mixture of free peer-reviewed, and independent research as well as articles written by leaders in our field. I also tried to include resources I thought would be helpful.
